Summary
- I am the Chairman of Pediatrics and the Physician-in-Chief at Riley Hospital for Children. I am interested in leading the coordination of patient friendly children's health, in developing pediatricians (both general and subspecialty trained) and in innovation in children's health broadly. Our Department is consistently in the top 10 Departments in the US in NIH funding, we have broad fellowship and physician-scientist training programs and with the support of the Riley Children's Foundation, IU School of Medicine and in partnership with IU Health Hospitals, we are able to conduct broad based basic, translational, and clinical research that is leading to innovations in multiple areas and first in man therapies. I am also a physician-scientist who is interested in genetic diseases with a predisposition to cancer in infants and young children. My laboratory is particularly focused on malignant and non-malignant manifestations of neurofibromatosis type 1
