Summary
- Dr. Ellis has been practicing in the field of Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics for over 30 years. In addition to being a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is one of six physicians in Nebraska with board certification in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics and the only Nebraska physician board certified in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. Dr. Ellis a Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry at UNMC. She has extensive clinical experience with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities, with specific expertise in the psychopharmacological management of children with developmental disabilities. Dr. Ellis participates in clinics statewide and via telehealth. Over the past 25 years, she has been involved in many research projects in developmental disabilities, has published extensively in the field, including dozens of book chapters and papers, and has given many regional and national presentations. She is the Director of Nebraska’s federally funded Interdisciplinary Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) training program which provides leadership training for graduate students and professionals who work with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families.
