He served as a trauma instructor at the Navy Trauma Training Center at L.A. General Hospital, Los Angeles, and as senior intensivist at the NATO Role 3 Multinational Medical Unit, Kandahar, Afghanistan. He has over 50 publications, 150 international or national presentations, and was co-editor of Essentials of Disaster Anesthesia, 1st ed.
