- Dr. Morgan is a board-eligible neurosurgeon specializing in minimally invasive and complex spinal surgery. Dr. Morgan treats adults and has a clinical interest in minimally invasive lateral and percutaneous approaches to treat complex spinal disease. Dr. Morgan is the author of over 43 peer-reviewed publications, presented over 30 times at national neurosurgical conferences, and has filed four US patents. His inventions for novel treatment of spinal disease have been featured in popular publications such as Scientific American and the MIT Technology Review.
Dr. Morgan is originally from a small town in rural southeastern Oklahoma called Stigler. On scholarship, he attended Washington University in St. Louis for undergraduate studies. He then obtained his medical doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN where he was named into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society. He then completed his residency training in Neurological Surgery at the prestigious Barrow Neurological Institute. During his time at Barrow, he completed further sub-specialty training in one of the most sought-after minimally-invasive and complex spinal deformity surgery fellowships in the country led by Dr. Juan Uribe. He completed further fellowship training in complex open spinal deformity surgery under Dr. Udaya Kakarla.
Outside the office, Dr. Morgan enjoys fishing, trail-running, weightlifting, pickleball, and spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter.
