Clifford D. Packer, MD, is an Internal Medicine specialist based in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1988 and completed his internal medicine residency at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. After a long career as a clinician-educator and clerkship director at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, he is now Professor Emeritus of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He is the author of three books and more than fifty peer-reviewed articles, and has been recognized with multiple honors including Fellow of the American College of Physicians and election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society as a faculty member, and he chaired the Committee on Medical Education at Case Western Reserve from 2018-2021. His contributions to the field have also earned him teaching awards from the University Hospitals of Cleveland and the American College of Physicians, Ohio Chapter.
