- Dr. Boese has been specializing in Total Joint Replacement surgery in the Western Iowa – Omaha metro area for 30 years. He recently retired as the director of the only program in all of Iowa or Nebraska to achieve Advanced Certification in Total Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery by the Joint Commission.
Dr. Boese graduated from the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Texas A&M Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. He subsequently completed his Adult Reconstructive and Arthritis Surgery fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland where he also served as clinical instructor of Orthopedics.
Dr. Boese is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of multiple professional organizations including the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the AOA Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Boese has been extensively involved in education and research. He has served as faculty in dozens of educational meetings both national and international. He has served as Adjunct Professor of Biomechanics at University of Nebraska, Omaha and has published multiple scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Boese has retired from Miller Orthopedic Specialists and now offers limited clinical and administrative medical services through CKB MEDICAL CONSULTING, PLLC.
