Summary
- I completed my general (adult) psychiatry residency training at Metropolitan Hospital Center located in East Harlem, New York where I also served as chief resident. Upon completion, I entered a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania/Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. While at CHOP, I worked on an initiative to integrate mental health treatment into general pediatrics clinics to address an underserved patient population in West Philadelphia. While at CHOP, I also earned the Education Policy Committee Award for Excellence in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I also developed an interest in working with medically ill children with psychiatric co-morbidities, as well as children with disruptive behavior problems and adolescent eating disorders. I am a dually board certified in both Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and General (Adult) Psychiatry.
