Dr. Borrero-Mejias’ vision is to promote equity by eliminating disparities in all areas that intersect with healthcare. This vision influences her academic and leadership interests. Through multi-faceted social and professional collaborations, her goal is to continue improving upon delivering excellent care to patients, families, and communities.
Dr. Borrero-Mejias earned her medical degree at the Universidad Central Del Caribe School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. She completed pediatric residency training at the University of Puerto Rico’s Medical Science Center, and she completed pediatric neurology subspecialty training at the Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Borrero-Mejias practices general pediatric neurology with a clinical and research focus in pediatric headache, epilepsy, and tic disorders. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, connecting with friends, and re-fueling her spirit through meditation, worship, and prayer.
