Following fellowship, she practiced at Seattle Children's Hospital and completed an NIH T32 training grant studying advanced imaging and computational fluid dynamics of the airway.

    Dr. Richardson’s clinical and research interests include endoscopic and open airway surgery, aerodigestive pathology, voice disorders, craniofacial conditions, vascular anomalies, and tracheostomy management. She has won several awards for translational research looking at surgical planning and complex airway surgery. She also has an interest in 3D printing, simulation, and medical education and serves on the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Simulation Education Committee and American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology Education Committee. She has a teaching certificate in medical education from the University of Washington and currently serves as the pediatric otolaryngology site director for the Mayo Clinic Phoenix otolaryngology residency program.
