• Dr. Christopher Young is a Colorectal/General Surgeon at Memorial Health System, Abilene, Kansas, commencing August 2021. He received his medical degree from the University of Sydney Faculty of Medicine and has been in practice 37 years. He completed general surgery residency and colorectal fellowship training in Australia, and completed an advanced colorectal fellowship training at Cleveland Clinic, OH.

  He is a past member of the Australia and New Zealand Training Board in Colon and Rectal Surgery 2013-2021, Deputy-Chairman RACS ANZ Scholarship and Grant Committee, and past Chairman of the RACS Board In General Surgery.
  Dr. Young’s interests include the management of colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor dysfunction, surgical education and decision making.
  Dr. Young performs laparoscopic and open surgery for colorectal diseases and for complex and recurrent perianal diseases. He currently operates at Memorial Health System, Abilene, Kansas.
  Dr. Young completed a full-time MBA at KWU in December 2022, completed and was awarded a PhD on colorectal surgery at CDU in September 2024, and commenced a full-time EdD at NMC in January 2023 which completes in December 2024.
