- Christopher Shubert, MD, MHA, is a subspecialty surgeon at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of cancers and diseases of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. He performs open as well as minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Shubert completed general surgery residency training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Subsequently he completed fellowship training in Hepatobiliary and Pancreas Surgical Oncology and Abdominal Organ Transplantation. Dr. Shubert's area of clinical interest is complex resections for liver, biliary and pancreas neoplasms, even those deemed unresectable or inoperable at other institutions. Dr. Shubert is actively involved in clinical research to improve patient outcomes as well as the incorporation of novel systemic therapies into a surgical paradigm of care.
