- Christopher Ott, M.D., FACEP, is the chief medical officer for HCA Healthcare’s Physician Services. Dr. Ott oversees the clinical, quality, ambulatory informatics, value-based care and payer initiatives strategy and teams for more than 16000+ physicians and advanced practice providers in direct employment as well as joint venture relationships. Physician Services providers generate 24 million patient encounters at 1900+ clinical locations annually. Prior to his role with the Physician Services Group, he was the Group Chief Medical Officer for the Centura Health Mountain and North Denver Operating Group and the entity Chief Medical Officer at St. Anthony Hospital in Colorado. He previously served as the emergency department medical director for St. Anthony Hospital Level 1 Trauma Center. He is a former partner in the Apex Emergency Group P.C., which provided Colorado-based ED physician services, and was the corporate medical director for AMR Air, Inc., a fixed wing air medical transport company. Dr. Ott received his bachelor’s degree in history from Marquette University and his doctorate in Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed an Internal Medicine internship at St. Joseph Hospital and an emergency medicine residency at Denver Health. He is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
