Summary
- As a well trained and dedicated diagnostic radiologist with a fellowship in Abdominal/Body Imaging from Duke University, I have spent my career working within a busy hospital-based private practice interpreting cross-sectional imaging studies and consulting with referring physicians. I have extensive experience in CT, MRI, US, X-ray and nuclear medicine. I routinely read advanced imaging modalities for oncology cases from the Norton Cancer Institute and frequently participate in both the general oncology tumor board and specialty tumor board conferences. The lower GI tumor board is held with colleagues from Oncology, Radiation-Oncology and Pathology with imaging emphasis on colorectal malignancy and rectal MRI . The Gynecologic-Oncology tumor board allows consultation with Gynecologic-Oncologist surgeons, Radiation-Oncology, Medical Oncology and Pathology to discuss difficult cases and evaluate treatment plans. Working in a Women and Children’s hospital brings a wide range of female imaging into my daily practice from routine pelvic ultrasound to pelvic MRI for evaluation of ovarian and uterine pathology. Also, working closely with Urogynecologists, I read MRI defecography to evaluate causes of pelvic floor dysfunction. In addition to these specialty areas, my daily case load includes a large volume of acute cases from the Emergency Department, referrals from general surgery and urology as well as a mix of outpatient studies including lung cancer screening CT and coronary calcium scoring from an extensive network of physician’s offices and medical centers across the region.
