- Christopher R. Jacobs, M.D., is a vascular and endovascular surgeon at the Mayo Clinic. He specializes in treatment of complex aortic morphology including aneurysms, dissection and mesenteric ischemia (such as superior mesenteric artery, renal and celiac artery disease) as well as cerebrovascular disease (such as carotid endarterectomy, TCAR and stenting). His clinical interests include aortic aneurysms and dissection, peripheral arterial disease and cerebrovascular occlusive disease. Dr. Jacobs has a strong research interest in aortic aneurysms and mesenteric ischemia having published several articles in leading vascular surgery journals. He has presented plenary talks in several national meetings.
Dr. Jacobs earned his medical degree in the charter class of the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He went on to pursue both general surgery residency and vascular fellowship training at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Jacobs is committed to resident and fellow education and is a recipient of teaching awards during his medical training. Other notable awards include induction into Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
