Summary
- I am an Assistant Professor Allergy/Immunology in the Department of Otolaryngology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. 80% of my time is devoted to clinical responsibilities, with the remainder devoted to education of clinical fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as pursuit of research interests. I enjoy treating both adult and pediatric patients with conditions spanning the entire breadth of allergy/immunology, including allergic rhinitis, food allergy/intolerance, asthma, atopic dermatitis, mast cell disease, and clinical immunology. As a clinician at an academic medical center, I work to give patients the latest treatments, including novel kinds of immunotherapy for treatment of allergic conditions as well as use of genetics for diagnosis of immunologic conditions. My research interests include include finding new more effective and patient-friendly methods of immunotherapy and improving processes to eliminate unnecessary drug allergies from patients’ allergy lists. Past areas of research have included: management of food allergy anaphylaxis, food protein induced enterocolitis syndrome, food allergy anxiety, eosinophilic esophagitis, penicillin allergy, and healthcare disparities in allergy/immunology care. I have two peer-viewed papers published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology; multiple abstracts published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the Journal of Clinical Immunology; and an oral abstract at the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Annual meeting.
