Summary
- Dr. Hietanen joined TLC Pediatrics in August 2005. He received his undergraduate degree from Canisius College and then went on to medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. While in medical school, he founded the NYCOM Pediatric Club and upon graduation received the award for excellence in pediatrics. Dr. Hietanen did his pediatric residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, where he was consistently recognized as one of the top residents in the program. He is board certified and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr Hietanen takes a special interest in the care of asthma and allergies, educating new parents, as well as pediatric physical fitness. He is deeply involved with charity work, mostly centered on helping children with cancer, and community service. Dr Hietanen is on staff as an adjunct assistant professor at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Middletown, NY and takes great interest in teaching. In his free time, he enjoys various outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
