Summary

• Chelsea R. Samson, B.E., M.D., received her bachelor of engineering and doctor of medicine from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where she pursued interdisciplinary projects combining surgery, device design, and imaging. She subsequently completed her internship at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, given their congruous values of affordable, culturally-sensitive healthcare. She completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at one of the most prestigious programs in the country, the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, MO, where she served as chief resident. In 2021, she completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention at Mallinckrodt.
  
  Throughout her training, she has pursued both clinical and basic science research with the Department of Defense and the Louis Pasteur Institute in Paris, France. Her clinical interests include minimally-invasive orthopedic procedures, medical education with a focus on women in STEM, and forensic radiology.
  
  She currently enjoys serving the greater Charleston community as a radiologist with Imaging Specialists.
