His clinical interests include the medical and surgical treatment of chronic sinusitis, as well as the surgical treatment of benign and malignant sinonasal tumors.

He is a leading scientist in cancer genomics who seeks to understand the genetic basis of each patient's tumor by identifying the specific mutations driving cellular proliferation and developing therapeutic interventions.
Dr. Tong is a recipient of the American Rhinologic Society New Investigator research grant and an invited speaker at the National Institute of Health (NIH) on the mechanisms of sinonasal and skull base tumorigenesis.
Dr. Tong is an Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital. He received fellowship training in Rhinology and Skull Base surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. He has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Rhinologic Society.
My favorite part of the job is to see my patients thrive, Dr. Tong says. I want them to understand what's going on in their noses, whether that is through the camera in the nose or state-of-the-art imaging, and together we work towards a plan for them to feel their best every day.
