  • A native of Virginia, Dr. Fox is a cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland and Harvard Medical School. Following his internship and residency in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, he completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville.

    For the tenth consecutive year, Dr. Fox was voted by a committee of his peers to Atlanta magazine's "Top Doctors" guide – a list of top physicians in the metro area. Over the past decade, Dr. Fox has held many leadership roles in his field. He currently serves as chief of gastroenterology at Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM), as well as associate clinical professor at Emory University, medical director of EUHM’s endoscopy unit, and medical director of AGA’s Midtown Endoscopy Center. Dr. Fox is a graduate of the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) program, a healthcare leadership certification through the American Association for Physician Leadership and his MBA from the University of Massachusetts.

    Dr. Fox treats patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal diseases, such as colon polyps, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac sprue, chronic liver disease, and pancreatic and biliary disorders. He is trained in advanced endoscopic techniques such as ERCP, esophageal pH monitoring, resection of complex polyps, placement of enteral stents and feeding tubes, as well as cutting-edge endoscopic treatment for gastroparesis and gastrointestinal bleeding. He has a special interest in nutrition, the effects of diabetes on the digestive system, and malignant disorders of the gastrointestinal tract.

    He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Association for Physician Leadership. He is also a board member of the Georgia Gastroenterologic and Endoscopic Society.
