Charles Crane, MD, is an ophthalmologist based in South Orange, NJ. He completed his medical education at Rutgers - New Jersey Medical School, followed by an internship at Barnabas Medical Center and a residency in ophthalmology at Rutgers - Cooper University Hospital. His areas of expertise include cataract diagnosis and surgery, eyelid disease and surgery, glaucoma diagnosis and treatment, and refractive surgery and LASIK. He is recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Crane is very involved in research, having been a primary investigator in many studies bringing new medications and devices to patients with the intent of preserving and enhancing vision. He has also traveled internationally to teach surgical techniques abroad.
