  • I am a fellowship-trained, board-certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon with clinical experience in the comprehensive treatment of spinal disorders from the neck through the lower back. I received my undergraduate degree in Biology-Neuroscience at Washington University in St. Louis. I then went on to medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. I completed my Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, during which time I received the Harold M. Frost MD Resident Researcher of the Year Award in 2019, as well as the Charles Townley MD Resident Best Manuscript Award in the state of Michigan.

    I completed my fellowship training in Orthopedic Spine Surgery at the esteemed Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

    I treat a range of spine conditions, including spine injury, adult and pediatric spinal deformity, fractures, infections, degenerative disease, tumors, nerve disease, and disc herniation and stenosis. I am experienced in a range of highly specialized procedures, including fusions, discectomy, arthroplasty, laminoplasty, laminectomy, minimally invasive procedures, and robotic-assisted surgeries.

    I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland Ochsner Medical School. I received Teacher of the Year Award by the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. I have an interest in the advancement of Spine Surgery through research and have published multiple peer-reviewed articles in high impact science journals. My research has been presented at several national and international orthopaedic conferences. I am a fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS). I am an Emerging Leader of the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA). I am also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the North American Spine Society (NASS), among others.
