- Dr. Chad Zender is a highly experienced otolaryngologist specializing in head and neck microvascular and oncologic surgery. After earning his medical degree from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, he completed his otolaryngology residency at Loyola University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in head and neck oncologic and microvascular reconstruction at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Currently serving as a professor and division chief of Head and Neck surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. His clinical and research interests include squamous cell carcinoma, swallowing disorders, skull base surgery, and complex head and neck reconstruction. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and actively participates in clinical trials, including research on the impact of multimodality therapy in the treatment of advanced head and neck cancer. Dr. Zender’s commitment to patient care and education has earned him numerous accolades, such as the George Adams Young Faculty Award, as well as several mentorship and teaching awards.
