Summary
- I was born and raised in St. Louis. I am currently triple Board Certified in PM&R, Pediatric Rehabilitation and Pediatrics as well as being certified in Life Care Planning.
I specialize in Musculoskeletal & Non-operative Sports medicine, for all ages, Pediatric, Adolescent & Adult patients, with acute/chronic dysfunction &/or pain, including Pregnant moms. My Direct care practice features coordination of a multidisciplinary team that combines Medicine, Chiropractic & Physiotherapy with CAM e.g. medical Acupuncture. Other Medical interventions include soft tissue, nerve block, traditional joint and spine injections & regenerative injections for both acute and chronic issues.
The practice blends the best of traditional medicine with complementary & alternative medicine to treat the whole patient. We work with our patients to preventatively optimize their physical conditioning as well as diagnosing & treating for illness/injury. We assess biomechanics and other contributory factors and then, devise a custom treatment plan to not only address current symptomatology but to assist in prevention of recurrence.
My team has extensive experience with non-operative sports and performing arts specific treatments & therapies including therapies for biomechanical issues, in Dance, Cheer, Gymnastics, Swim, H2O Polo, Football, Soccer, Rugby, Baseball/Softball, Golf, Equestrian sports, Crossfit & Body building, to name a few, that lead to & perpetuate injuries. We treat symptoms and sequelae of Concussion and also care for everyday issues like arthritis, headaches, neck & back pain.
I have experience with Cerebal Palsy and the treatment of spasticity, as well as the assessment and management of Ehler's Danlos syndrome & Complex regional pain/Amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome patients. I was the co-founder of the Cerebral Palsy Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital and I headed both clinic and inpatient programs for CRPS/AMPS at SLCH, before entering private practice.
