• Dr. Cassandra Klyman is a psychiatrist based in Los Angeles CA, specializing in psychodynamic, integrative, and forensic psychiatry. She has medical management expertise in bipolar and ADHD illness. She completed her medical education at the University of Michigan Medical School in 1962, followed by an internship at the Children's Hospital of Michigan, a psychiatry residency at the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University where later she was an Adjunct Professor. Her psychoanalytic training was at the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Klyman currently serves as a Senior Clinical Consultant at HappierLiving. Her published works appear in national and international journals, with topics ranging from patient management to psychoanalytical perspectives on life events. Her recognitions include many leadership roles in professional societies; she was elected president of the Michigan Psychiatric Society and honored as a Distinguished Life Fellow by the American Psychiatric Association., Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners, and the American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic Psychiatry. She is on the Faculty of the Chinese American Psychoanalytic Alliance. Her debut novel, Beyond Sadness, will be published in Spring, 2025.
