  • Dr. Muh is a Board certified pediatric neurosurgeon with a specialty in epilepsy surgery for children and young-adults. She received two undergraduate degrees from MIT, followed by a Master's from MIT, an MD from Columbia University, and another Master's degree from Duke University. She completed a residency in neurological surgery at Emory University, followed by a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, one of the busiest pediatric neurosurgery programs in the country.
    She was faculty at Duke University for 8 years until she was recruited to Westchester Medical Center-New York Medical College to become Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in 2019. While at WMC and MFCH, Dr. Muh has built an NAEC Level 4 Epilepsy Center, and has overseen a vast increase in the scope of the pediatric neurosurgical practice at MFCH to provide comprehensive care for children with brain and spine tumors, peripheral nerve injuries, cerebrovascular anomalies, and the full range of neurosurgical disorders.
    Dr. Muh has a patent for a novel CSF shunt, works with international programs to teach epilepsy surgery abroad, and has published more than 100 journal articles, chapters and invited reviews/commentaries. She was elected to the Executive Committee of the AANS/CNS Pediatric Neurosurgery Section, serves as Associate Editor & reviewer for numerous neurosurgery journals, and has been the recipient of multiple awards including MFCH Physician Exemplar, a Pediatric Leadership certificate from Harvard Medical School, a Duke Health Fellow, and a Finalist for the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) Innovator of the Year.
