Summary
- Dr. Caroline Porter is originally from Winston-Salem, NC. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She obtained her Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society. She completed her preliminary year in internal medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and completed a postdoctoral research fellowship with Dr. Steve Feldman in the Wake Forest Department of Dermatology. She subsequently joined the MUSC Department of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, serving as Sub-Investigator on the department’s roughly 30 interventional and observational clinical research studies. Dr. Porter is a current dermatology resident physician at Georgetown University/MedStar Health Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Her dermatologic interests include atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Porter enjoys traveling the world with her husband, trying new foods and restaurants, hiking and walking with friends, and spending time with her four younger siblings.
