- Dr. Alquist is a transplant immunology and transfusion medicine physician. Dr. Alquist is the city’s only active ASHI-accredited HLA director. HLA lab testing improves the safety of solid organ and bone marrow “matching” and transplantation. Additionally, she specializes in transfusion medicine, cellular therapy, and apheresis services.
Dr. Alquist was selected as one of ASCP’s 40 Under 40 pathology leaders for early career achievements and contributes to national HLA and transfusion standards as an active member of ASHI, AABB, and ASFA committees. She has authored a number of book chapters, abstracts, and manuscripts and is committed to collaborative transplant and transfusion research and medical education.
