Summary

  • I am a board-certified Family Medicine specialist with over 25 years of experience. I started out with my own practice, doing full-spectrum family medicine, including inpatient and obstetrics.
Over the years I stopped performing OB and doing inpatient work and closed my practice in 2007. I have been working as an employed physician since then. I have occasionally found myself in situations that were different from what I had expected, and tried to make the best of things until it impacted my ability to provide quality care to my patients.
I have spent the last several years doing mostly adult medicine, as other providers would tend to see most of the children. I am currently working as a locums at the Hawai’i state mental hospital caring for the medical needs of the psychiatric inpatients.
I have learned to take time for myself to continue to be compassionate towards my patients and give them the best care I can. I took a year off in 2017 to travel and dive my bucket list; it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I try to advise and consult and let my patients make their own decisions, after reviewing the risks and benefits of various treatment options.
I enjoy feeling like I am making a difference and know that to do my best, I need protected time for myself away from work and adequate time to spend with patients.
I have unrestricted medical licenses in Arizona and Hawai’i and am available to start in March, 2022. I prefer to work 30-36 hours per week and have my nights and weekends free.
I am not sure where my next step will be, but am willing to wait for a great fit.
    Thank you for your consideration.
