Summary

  • Most recently, I worked as a board-certified family nurse practitioner in the Department of Cardiology, Heart and Lung Clinic at UT Southwestern Medical Center until retiring 9/2023. I specialized in the care of patients both pre- and post-heart transplant.

I hold an undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and earned my Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Texas Woman's University in 2006. I have worked as an APP primarily in the cardiology field, including general cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure and most recently heart transplantation. I am passionate about providing evidence based, compassionate care to my patients. In addition to providing patient care, I served as an APP mentor and was on the Advanced Practice Provider and Physician Collaboration Committee.

Aside from working in my cardiology role, I am active in world missions, both medical and church-related, having served on trips in the Amazon, Belize, Mexico, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, India, Cuba and Cambodia.
