Summary
- Carlos A. Torre, MD is an Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon that specializes in the medical and surgical management of sleep disorders and the optimization of nasal breathing. Dr. Torre is one of few sleep specialists in the world with a dual training in Sleep Medicine and Sleep Surgery. He is also the only sleep specialist that is triple-board certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, Sleep Medicine, and Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Torre has created the Sleep, Snoring & Sinus Clinic of Florida with the goal of offering personalized and comprehensive sleep care under one group. His unique training and expertise allow him to avoid the fragmentation of services that characterizes sleep care and that contributes to poor treatment outcomes. Also, the fact that he understands the connection that exists between breathing, nutrition, and mind is what makes his treatment approach unique and one that he plans to continue expanding for the benefit of all.
Dr. Torre has published a wide array of papers on topics related to Obstructive Sleep Apnea and nasal breathing. He has also been invited as a guest speaker to many different international and local meetings where he has presented his work. He serves as a member of the Sleep Medicine committee for the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine taskforce that developed the new guidelines for OSA surgery.
