Summary
- I am a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Dayton Children's. In addition to practicing general pediatric orthopedic surgery and fracture care, my expertise is in pediatric sports medicine.
I received my doctorate of medicine from the Morehouse School of Medicine. I completed a residency in orthopedics at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a fellowship in pediatrics orthopedics from Phoenix Children's Hospital and Shriners Hospital for Children in Portland, Oregon. In addition to the pediatric fellowships, I completed a second fellowship in sports medicine with the Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan.
I pursued a career in pediatric orthopedic medicine because it is extremely rewarding working with the pediatric and adolescent population and young athletes. Children are a different breed. They are strong, and always motivated to get better. We can learn so much from them.
As a pediatric orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Dayton Children's Hospital, my role involves specializing in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions in young athletes, ensuring they receive expert care to recover and thrive in their sports endeavors. My expertise lies in the delicate balance of providing medical care tailored to children's unique needs while helping them achieve their athletic potential safely.
Outside of work, I am actively involved in global outreach opportunities. I enjoy snow skiing and traveling. I have been to 27 countries and lived in 8 states!
