Summary
- I am the Chief of Orthopaedic Oncology at Penn Medicine, as well as an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, specializing in both orthopaedic oncology and adult hip and knee reconstruction. I graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed my residency in orthopaedic surgery at Rush University, followed by fellowships in Adult Reconstruction at Virginia Commonwealth University and Orthopaedic Oncology at University of Toronto.
Over the course of my career, I have focused on managing benign and malignant tumors of the musculoskeletal system, including primary sarcomas and metastatic cancers. I have a particular clinical interest in pelvic tumors, limb salvage surgery, and managing massive bone loss. My goal is to provide the best possible care to all my patients based on their individual goals, no matter how complex the case.
If you have a patient in need of these services, or if you have questions about a particular case, please feel free to contact me through Doximity, email me at Cara.Cipriano@pennmedicine.upenn.edu, or call me at 215-349-8200. I look forward to connecting with you!
