  • Dr. Allen is a full time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician who has more than a decade of experience serving children who have a variety of developmental and behavioral needs. Prior to starting her own practice, Created to Thrive, Dr. Allen worked for 7 years as an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and served as the medical director of the NICU follow-up (SOAR) program and the only Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician (DBP) at Texas Children’s Hospital in the Woodlands, TX.

    Dr. Allen completed her Fellowship in Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO (2013-2016). During her fellowship training, Dr. Allen participated in multidisciplinary patient assessments and served in numerous multi-specialty clinics as well. Prior to completing Fellowship, Dr. Allen completed her General Pediatric Residency and Internship training at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX (2010–2013).
    Dr. Allen earned her medical degree (M.D.) from Texas Tech Medical School in 2010. Dr. Allen is an active member of the Society for Developmental & Behavior.


    Dr. Allen believes that every child should be provided with the care and support they need to achieve their highest potential. Every developmental and behavioral evaluation includes a holistic approach to care that considers the individual and collective impact of biological, genetic, environmental and social factors.
