Summary
- I am a board-eligible orthopaedic-trained spine surgeon located in Pittsburgh, PA. I operate at UPMC Passavant hospital just north of Pittsburgh and am currently seeing patients in Wexford, Sewickley and New Castle, PA. I am currently accepting new patients! I specialize in virtually all aspects of spinal pathology including adult deformity/scoliosis, trauma, minimally invasive surgery, adult degenerative conditions, complex revision surgery, spinal tumors and infection.
My healthcare career began in nursing which afforded me a deep-seated passion for patient-centered approaches to healthcare. I am similarly focused on both patient and peer education and believe patient outcomes are directly linked to a provider's understanding of all currently available evidence-based interventions be they surgical or non-surgical. My active research interests include identifying pre and post operative alignment metrics that may predict proximal junctional failure after adult spinal deformity surgery.
