Summary
- Dr. Kasturiarachi completed her internship, neurology residency, and chief residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. She completed her Neurocritical Care fellowship at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in June of 2024. In her chief residency, she created and implemented a simulation education program to supplement junior resident didactics and, in her fellowship, brought similar programming to the University of Cincinnati. She is a 2021 graduate of the American Academy of Neurology Palatucci Advocacy Leadership Program and was awarded a grant through this to develop a training course for difficult neurologic conversations for trainees. During her fellowship, Dr. Kasturiarachi also reimplemented the chief residency bootcamp with the GME Education Committee and will be the new chair of the committee in the upcoming academic year. She additionally serves on the Point-of-Care-Ultrasound section for the Neurocritical Care Society and has been selected as Vice Chair for the 2024-2025. Her research interests lay not only in medical education but also in multimodality monitoring of the acute neurologic patient population, particularly in the relationship of brain tissue oxygenation and systemic oxygenation.
