Overview of Dr. Snelling

Brian M. Snelling, MD, FAANS is a board-certified, dual trained cerebrovascular neurosurgeon. He currently serves as the Director of Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery and Medical Director of the Marilyn and Stanley Barry Center for Cerebrovascular Disease and Stroke at the Marcus Neuroscience Institute and Boca Raton Regional Hospital, a part of Baptist Health, in Boca Raton, FL.

Dr. Snelling is a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University, where he received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering. He completed both his neurological surgery residency and fellowship in endovascular neurosurgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, FL.

Dr. Snelling has authored over 40 refereed articles, book chapters, and invited editorials, including such prestigious publications as the Journal of Neurosurgery and Journal of Neuro-Oncology. Dr. Snelling’s clinical interests focus on delivering the complete spectrum of cutting-edge treatments to all stroke patients. His research interests focus on novel clinical techniques and treatments for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Dr. Snelling is a pioneer in the adoption of transradial access for neurovascular procedures, improving patient safety during life-saving procedures.
