  • Dr. Brian Griffin is an emergency medicine specialist based in Powell, OH, with special interests in medical toxicology, critical care medicine and mass gathering /disaster medicine. He completed his medical education at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1978. Dr. Griffin underwent his internship in a transitional year at Good Samaritan Hospital from 1978 to 1979. After a year of hospital administration training, he first received his board certification in Emergency Medicine and later pursued a fellowship in pain medicine at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center from 1999 to 2001, ultimately becoming triple boarded. Concurrently, he became a Deputy Sheriff (OHIO) in 1981 and spent many decades serving as a law enforcement officer, including 4 years as a squad leader on a county SWAT team. Dr. Griffin has contributed to publications such as "Principles and Practice of Podiatric Medicine, Volume I of II" and "The Arnold Medical Team" published in ANGT. He has also edited nearly 100 articles for an educational EM tape series.
