- Dr Gerhardstein is currently the Director of Headache Medicine at the Neuroscience Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health JFK University Medical Center. He previously was the Founder and Director of the Headache Clinics at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr Gerhardstein holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology and Biochemistry from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL with his thesis on calcium channel regulation. He later received his M.D. from WSU. He then did his Neurology Residency and was the Chief Resident in Neurology at JFK Neuroscience Institute. He is now the Director of Headache Medicine, Associate Professor of Neurology and a UCNS-certified Headache Medicine Specialist at Hackensack JFK University Medical Center.
