Through mastery of informational, computational, behavioral, and organizational sciences along with a deeper understanding of health systems and processes, Dr. Chen helped co-found Yerbba, a healthcare tech start-up, in 2018. Yerbba is a new entrepreneurial endeavor that is developing an online medical information platform where patient medical records are automatically uploaded to generate personalized reports that give diagnostic testing and treatment options in an easy-to-understand language. In doing so, Yerbba acts as a one-stop solution that provides evidence-based, comprehensive, time-efficient, convenient, affordable information that empowers patients to take control of their care to improve their overall health. Dr. Chen's interests include cardiovascular medicine, medical education, and health information technology (HIT).
