- I am an advanced practice registered nurse clinical nurse specialist (APRN-CNS) specializing in adult gerontology critical care and pulmonology. I began my career in healthcare and my goal of nursing in 1987 as a nursing assistant. Since then, I have had the pleasure to work in many different areas of nursing, including academia, critical care, and long-term acute care, as an asthma and COPD educator, with the majority of her career spent in pulmonary and critical care, inpatient and outpatient and pulmonary hypertension.
I graduated from the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where I earned my Bachelor’s and Master of Science in Nursing and am currently working on my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and will graduate in Spring on 2024. I have a strong passion for patient, student and staff advocacy, and evidence-based practice.
