- Bo Wang, M.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology with the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine at Wilmer’s East Baltimore and Green Spring Station locations. He specializes in pediatric ophthalmology with particular interest in pediatric glaucoma and pediatric cataract, strabismus, and retinopathy of prematurity. He received his Bachelor of Science with Summa Cum Laude and Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his medical training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute and fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the Duke Eye Center.
His research interest is focused on the application of non-invasive imaging techniques to better understand and manage ocular diseases that affect children. Presently, he is using Optical Coherence Tomography, a non-invasive optical imaging technique, to investigate the changes in the outflow pathway leading to pediatric glaucoma.
