Summary

• I currently serve as the Director of Cardiology and Cardiac Imaging of Methodist DeBakey Cardiology Associates at Pearland. I am currently one of the core cardiology faculty (specialized in advanced cardiovascular imaging/Echocardiography) with the Methodist De Bakey Cardiology group at The Houston Methodist Hospital in Houston (Assistant Professor of Cardiology, Weill Cornell Medical College). I am board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and Internal Medicine. I am also a fellow of American College of Cardiology, a fellow of American Society of Echocardiography, in addition to being one of the Board Members of Accreditation Committee of ACC and CME Committee of ASE. I am also one of the Course Directors of Annual Cardiology Fellows Boot Camp and have keen interests in Fellow Education. I also lead the Cardiology Jeopardy training at HMH and take special interest in training the Fellows for Echocardiography Boards.
  I am a strong proponent of Women in Cardiology and also actively involved with the WIC Division of TX ACC.
  My research niche is focused on Artificial intelligence, Innovation and Technological aspects of Echocardiography and 3-D echocardiography. I am actively working on AI and POCUS platforms at HMH Echocardiography Lab and involved in improving applicability in clinical realms in addition to facilitating fellow education and learning. I am also involved in research activities centered on atrial mitral regurgitation, influence of the drug Sacubitril-Valsartan on left atrial strain and Mechanics in patients with heart failure with preserved Ejection Fraction and Atrial Fibrillation and various other interesting topics.
