    Dr. Billie Xia is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has been practicing for over 10 years. She chose Internal Medicine as it allows her to treat a variety of adult health illnesses, as well as build long-term relationships with her patients and families. She enjoys helping her patients in their journey for improved health. Dr Xia takes pride in the fact that her patients describe her as warm, friendly and engaging, and anyone who meets her immediately notes her contagious upbeat, positive outlook on life.

    Prior to joining Primary PartnerCare, Dr Xia spent 9 years working as a Hospitalist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center where she took care of acutely ill patients, performed research and taught medical students and residents.

    Dr. Xia lived in China until the young age of 5 and can speak conversational Chinese (Mandarin). She has one daughter, Lily and enjoys spending quality time together and watching her grow. Dr. Xia likes watching figure skating, reading, listening to audiobooks, exercising and traveling. Her favorite vacation spot is Italy and Thailand is the most exotic destination she has visited.
