- Biff Franklin Palmer, MD, is a Professor of Internal Medicine at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso, Texas. For the previous 35 years, he was a Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He has authored more than 300 articles and chapters and served on the nephrology subspecialty board for the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is designated a Distinguished Teaching Professor by the University. He received the Regents Outstanding Teaching award by the University of Texas and in 2020 was awarded the Piper Professorship. He is a member of the Southwestern Academy of Teachers and The University of Texas Kenneth I. Shine Academy of Health Science Education.
