Summary
- I am a psychiatrist in private practice in Charlottesville, Virginia. I study meaningful coincidences--synchronicity and serendipity. I have a podcast, Psychology Today blog and a book (2016) each called Connecting with Coincidence. My newest book Meaningful Coincidences will be released September, 2022.
I was chair of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri-Columbia for 17 years and am internationally recognized for my research in panic disorder and chest pain. My book Learning Psychotherapy received two national psychiatry awards.
