Dr. Benny Barnhart is a psychiatrist based in Wichita Falls, TX. He completed his medical education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1990, followed by a psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center from 1990 to 1994. He has participated in clinical trials, including a study on Simufilam for Mild-to-Moderate Alzheimer's Disease. Dr. Barnhart received the CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification from Allscripts Professional EHR in 2012. He has participated in over three hundred clinical trials in psychiatry, and is in private group practice at the Clinics of North Texas in Wichita Falls. Dr. Barnhart's areas of interest and expertise include mood and anxiety disorders, psychopharmacology and geriatric psychiatry, including diagnosis and treatment of dementia. He received the "Outstanding Teacher" award in 1994 at UT Southwestern.
