Dr. Brakke's leadership roles include serving as the Director of Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine as well as the POCUS Education Director for the Anesthesiology Residency Program at Mayo Clinic Rochester.
Dr. Brakke enjoys a broad clinical practice. His areas of expertise include the care of pregnant and postpartum patients in the ICU setting, point-of-care ultrasound in the perioperative and intensive care settings, anesthesia for fetal surgery, cardiovascular surgery intensive care, anesthesia for patients with high-risk pregnancies, and hematology/oncology intensive care.
