  • I am a Transplant Physician, triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology, with over a decade of experience. I recently completed recertification in all three specialties, demonstrating my commitment to staying at the forefront of advancements in medicine and providing exceptional patient care.I currently serve as the Director of the Long-Term Clinic at Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy at Methodist Hospital, a position I began in April 2024. Additionally, I am part of the Adult Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant Program at the Texas Transplant Institute and a member of the Sarah Cannon Blood Cancer Network, specializing in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies for hematologic malignancies.I earned my MD and PhD from Texas A&M College of Medicine, completed my residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center/Parkland Hospital System, and pursued a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During my fellowship, I conducted innovative research on microRNA as a novel treatment for chemotherapy-resistant breast cancer, earning a patent and the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology Award. My work focuses on immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and CAR-T cell therapy, with a commitment to improving outcomes for patients with challenging malignancies.Beyond my clinical work, I am dedicated to medical education. From 2015 to 2021, I served as Chair of the Graduate Medical Education Committee at Methodist Healthcare System, enhancing training environments for fellows and residents. I am currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, mentoring the next generation of physicians. I am a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, committed to advancing cancer care, mentoring future physicians, and providing innovative treatments to my patients.
