  • I am currently the Division Director of Newborn Medicine (Neonatology), F. Sessions Chair in Newborn Medicine, and Professor of Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine and St. Louis Children's Hospital. My research interests include 1) the effect of the neonatal microbiome on health and disease, with emphasis on necrotizing enterocolitis, and 2) role of the microbiome in neurodevelopment and mental health outcomes.
