Summary
- I am a physician, scientist, and entrepreneur. I am driven to utilize my expertise in tissue engineering and my clinical experiences to assist patients. I am particularly interested in the potential of orthobiologics and how they can be improved to treat musculoskeletal injuries. I was a principal investigator on a national trial for using autologous PRP to treat lumbar facet arthritis.
Additionally, I have experience with leading a biotech startup as the CEO and Co-founder of Nanoly Bioscience, Inc. which developed a low-cost and biocompatible polymer to eliminate the need for refrigeration of temperature-sensitive molecules such as enzymes and viral based vaccines. We successfully stabilized research use only enzymes so that they did not have to be shipped with dry ice. I also garnered experience managing a team of skilled personnel.
I received my M.D. from the Univ of Colorado SOM, Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering at MIT.
